A type of pot marigold known as Geisha Girl (Calendula officinalis) has extraordinarily huge inflorescences that can measure between 10 and 12 cm in diameter. This annual plant is prized for its durability, rapid growth, and profusion of blooms. The upright stalks that emerge through the light green foliage bear the dark orange blossoms. The edible pot marigold blooms have a delicate, mild taste and several medicinal benefits. From early summer until the first frosts, pot marigold "Geisha Girl" will decorate garden borders and flower beds. It looks fantastic grown in bowls and boxes strategically placed on a balcony or terrace.
Growing instructions:
Sow the Pot Marigold Calendula Officinalis Geisha Girl seeds from March to May. Directly sow seeds in a prepared seedbed outside. Sow the seeds in rows that are 25 to 30 cm apart. Add 0.5 cm (1/4 in) of fine soil over the seeds and water plants thoroughly especially during warm summer days.
