800x Parsnip Tender And True Seeds
Parsnip Tender and True is gardeners favourite as it produces a heritage cultivar of superior quality and consistently yields crops of long, wedge-shaped roots with a traditional sweet parsnip taste. Since the majority of the parsnip flavour is found just below the skin, Parsnip Tender and True roots maintain more of their delightful sweetness. They are white with a very smooth skin that is easy to clean and peel. A good frost makes parsnips sweeter because 2the freezing process converts part of the starch to sugar.
Growing Instructions:
Sow the Parsnip Tender And True seeds from February to May. Thinly sow seeds into trays (2cm deep). Germination usually takes 10-14 days and once the seedlings have germinated and have grown 10-15cm tall, transplant the seeds or spread the plants 30-50cm apart. Water plants thoroughly after planting especially during warm summer days. Harvest from October to February.
