200x Large Prague Celery Root Winter Hardy Seeds
Introduced in 1871, the heirloom variety Celeriac Giant Prague is still regarded as one of the standard cultivars. The roots taste somewhat of celery (to which it is related but grows more easily). The leaves resemble celery. Its big, crisp, spherical, white, 5-inch roots make excellent fried, mashed, soup, or raw grated salad greens. Celeriac keeps well for use in the winter. When the roots are 8 to 10 cm in diameter, the best quality is achieved.
Growing Instructions:
Sow the Celeriac Prague seeds from February - April. Thinly sow seeds into prepared seedbed (2cm deep). Germination usually takes 10-14 days and once the seedlings have germinated and have grown 10-15cm tall, transplant the seeds or spread the plants 30-50cm apart so that they have space to grow larger. Water plants thoroughly after planting especially during warm summer days. Harvest your Celeriac Giant Prague towards the ending of September.
