800x Hen & Chickens Poppy Seeds – Papaver Somniferum – Bold Annual Cut Flower
This heirloom kind is perfect for cutting gardens, dried arrangements, and decorative displays because it produces lovely, delicate pink to purple blooms that are followed by striking seed heads. It is simple to cultivate and does best in full light and soil that drains properly. For naturalised displays, sow seeds immediately outside in the early spring or autumn. Since seeds require sunshine to sprout, gently press them into the soil without covering. From late spring until early summer, plants bloom.
Growing Instructions:
You can grow Hen & Chickens Poppy (Papaver somniferum) by planting seeds outdoors in March to May or in the autumn (September to October) for earlier flowering the following year. Since seeds require light to germinate, choose a sunny, well-drained location and gently push the seeds into the soil's surface without covering. Throughout the 10–20 day germination period, keep the soil moist. June to August can expect the gentle pink to purple blooms of these hardy annuals, which will be followed by the characteristic central seed pods around by smaller "chick" pods. Don't overwater; instead, water sparingly. Perfect for cut flower beds, wildlife gardens, and borders. You can use the eye-catching seed heads as decorations by drying them. It easily self-seeds for subsequent seasons.
