600x Blue Woodruff Seeds – Asperula Orientalis – Sweet Vanilla-Scented - Annual

The lovely, low-growing annual blue woodruff (Asperula orientalis) is prized for its clusters of delicate, sky-blue blooms and delightful vanilla fragrance. It creates a gentle carpet of colour that is ideal for borders, rock gardens, and containers when it blooms in late spring or early summer. Its fragrant flowers draw pollinators like bees and butterflies, while its delicate, feathery leaves adds texture. Blue woodruff requires well-drained soil and grows best in full sun to partial shade. It is perfect for realistic or cottage-style gardening and is simple to grow. After the last frost in the spring, sow seeds outside right away, or start inside 6–8 weeks earlier for quicker flowers.

Growing Instructions:

A fragrant annual that thrives in full sun or moderate shade with well-drained soil, blue woodruff (Asperula orientalis) is perfect for gardens. Start seeds indoors in February for an early flowering season, or directly sow them outdoors from March to May, when the risk of frost has passed. On the surface of damp soil, scatter seeds sparingly and gently press; do not cover, as light promotes germination. Make sure the soil is damp but not soggy. Germination normally takes 14–21 days. When seedlings are sufficiently big, space them 15–20 cm apart or thin them out. The beautiful, sky-blue blooms of Blue Woodruff, which have a lovely vanilla aroma, are produced in large quantities between May and July. It adds colour and fragrance to any garden and is ideal for borders, rockeries, or pots. It also draws butterflies and bees.
