Incredible plant with a 4m tall bloom spike! This plant, which is native to the Canary Islands, begins as a palm tree-like stem covered in rosettes of thick, hairy leaves. It produces its massive bloom spike, tightly packed with thousands of deep blue flowers that attract butterflies and bees, after its second winter. It should be grown in a container that is at least 30 cm in diameter and moved to a frost-free area for the winter.
Growing instructions:
From February to April, sow thinly, 1.5 cm deep, into carefully prepared, well-dug, healthy soil that has already been watered. Typically, seedlings germinate within around 14–21 days. keep the plants well-watered. Water plants thoroughly after planting especially during warm days. Flowering during July through to September.
