500x Foxtail Millet Seeds – Setaria Italica Robusta Ideal Food For Domestic Bird
Foxtail millet seeds (Setaria Italica Robusta) are a great option for feeding domestic birds because they are a very nutrient-dense and high-energy food source. This millet type, which is well-known for its vigorous growth and abundant yield, yields tiny, golden grains that are rich in vital vitamins, minerals, and carbohydrates that promote birds' healthy digestion and general vitality. Foxtail millet is a sustainable and economical feed option that is perfect for domestic fowl, poultry, and pet birds. It is simple to grow from seed in full sun and well-drained soil. For optimal results, plant seeds in the spring or early summer. The hardy plants can be utilised as forage or as a cover crop and mature rapidly. Foxtail millet seeds provide a healthy, natural means for gardeners and bird owners to encourage bird health and wellbeing.
Growing instructions:
After the last frost, preferably in late spring when soil temperatures are at least 18°C, sow seeds outside in well-drained soil to grow Foxtail Millet (Setaria Italica Robusta). Evenly distribute the seeds, then lightly cover them with soil that is ¼ inch deep. Until the seeds germinate, which usually happens in 7–14 days, keep the soil continuously moist. Because foxtail millet enjoys warm weather and full sun, it grows best in the summer. This grass grows quickly; it matures in 60 to 90 days and yields golden seed heads that are ready to be harvested in the late summer or early autumn. The seeds can be harvested for grain or fodder, and are perfect for feeding domestic birds.
