500x Dracocephalum Moldavica Dragonhead Flower Seeds – Fragrant Annual
Moldavian Dragonhead, or Dracocephalum moldavica, is a fragrant annual flower prized for its eye-catching blue-purple blossoms and fragrant foliage with a subtle lemon-mint aroma. This lovely plant is perfect for borders, herb gardens, pots, and wildlife-friendly areas since it grows into tidy, bushy clusters. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators are drawn to its nectar-rich blooms, which bloom all summer. Dragonhead is a low-maintenance plant that grows quickly and easily in sunny, well-drained soil. Additionally, the blossoms and leaves can be used for traditional purposes and herbal drinks. These seeds provide a vibrant, fragrant show that elevates both ornamental and herb gardens, making them ideal for gardeners looking for beauty, aroma, and adaptability.
Growing Instructions:
Sow Dracocephalum moldavica seeds between March and May, either outdoors once the chance of frost has passed or indoors in trays. Since seeds require light to grow, use free-draining seed compost and cover the seeds with a thin layer of compost. Maintain a temperature of 15–20°C and keep the soil damp but not soggy; germination usually takes 7–14 days. Before planting outside, transplant and harden off the seedlings once they are big enough to handle. Select a location with well-drained soil that is sunny and protected. Plants should be spaced 20 to 25 cm apart. Deadhead wasted flowers to extend blossoming, and water sparingly during dry spells.
