New England Sky Blue As most other flowers fade, the hardy perennial aster adds vibrant colour to the yard. It attracts bees, butterflies, and other pollinators with its clouds of daisy-like flowers that are soft sky blue with golden centres and bloom from late summer into fall (August–October). It is perfect for the rear of borders, wildflower gardens, or naturalistic planting schemes because it can grow to a height of 90 to 150 cm. From February to April, plant seeds indoors by lightly placing them into moist compost without covering them; sunshine promotes germination. Once the final frost has passed, transplant outside. prefers soil that is moist and well-drained, as well as full light. It is cold-hardy and requires little care once established. Growing instructions:
