450x Sky Blue New England Aster Seeds – Hardy Perennial – Autumn Blooming

New England Sky Blue As most other flowers fade, the hardy perennial aster adds vibrant colour to the yard. It attracts bees, butterflies, and other pollinators with its clouds of daisy-like flowers that are soft sky blue with golden centres and bloom from late summer into fall (August–October). It is perfect for the rear of borders, wildflower gardens, or naturalistic planting schemes because it can grow to a height of 90 to 150 cm. From February to April, plant seeds indoors by lightly placing them into moist compost without covering them; sunshine promotes germination. Once the final frost has passed, transplant outside. prefers soil that is moist and well-drained, as well as full light. It is cold-hardy and requires little care once established. Reliable late-season interest is provided by this long-lived perennial, which also looks great with autumn perennials and decorative grasses.

Growing instructions:

The hardy perennial aster produces vivid blooms from August to October and grows best in full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Between February and April, sow seeds indoors by lightly pressing them onto the top of moist compost; do not cover, as light promotes germination. Germination takes two to four weeks, so keep the temperature between 18 and 21°C. When seedlings are big enough to manage, move them into separate pots to harden off gradually before putting them outside following the final frost. Alternatively, from May to June, sow immediately outside. With little maintenance, plants return every autumn after flowering in their second year. They provide vibrant seasonal colour and are perfect for borders, wildlife gardens, and naturalistic planting. They also draw bees and butterflies.
