A popular summer fruit, the honeydew melon (Cucumis melo) is prized for its smooth, pale green rind and juicy, sweet flesh. This specific cultivar is highly valued due to its great texture, huge size, and delightfully sweet flavour. It is grown for its cool, honey-like flavour and can weigh up to 3 kg, making it a pleasing and abundant crop for any garden. Honeydew melons are ideal for smoothies, fruit salads, desserts, and fresh consumption.
Growing Instructions:
Sow the Melon Honeydew seeds from March to June. Thinly sow seeds into trays (2cm deep). Germination usually takes 10-14 days and once the seedlings have germinated and have grown 10-15cm tall, transplant the seeds or spread the plants 30-50cm apart. Water plants thoroughly after planting especially during warm summer days. Harvest from July to October.
