4000x Digitalis Seeds – British Wild Common Foxglove For Natural Gardens

Digitalis Common Foxglove can provide your landscape height, style, and wildlife appeal. Digitalis purpurea is a native wildflower of the United Kingdom that grows well in gardens with a woodland theme and partial shade. It produces tall spires of purple-pink, bell-shaped blooms. Foxgloves, which bloom from June to August, are ideal for pollinator-friendly and natural gardens since they are adored by bees, particularly long-tongued bumblebees. These biennial plants self-seed freely for subsequent displays after producing leafy rosettes in their first year and flowers in their second. They thrive in damp, well-drained soil and are perfect for borders, wildflower meadows, and shady spots. A classic cottage garden favourite that enhances your outside area with biodiversity and charm.

Growing Instructions:

Since Digitalis (Common Foxglove) is a biennial, sow seeds outside from May to July for flowering the following year. For natural gardens or woodland borders, pick a location that is partially shaded and has wet, well-drained soil. Sunlight helps seeds germinate, so spread them out on the surface and gently push them down. Don't cover. Until seedlings establish, which normally takes two to three weeks, keep the soil moist. Plants grow a rosette of leaves in the first year, and tall flower spikes up to 1.5 meters in height bloom from June to August in the second year. For upcoming displays, let some plants organically self-seed after blossoming. Because they require little care, foxgloves are very appealing to pollinators, particularly bees.
