350x Geum Mrs J Bradshaw’ Seeds – Vibrant Scarlet Perennial – Easy to Grow
Geum 'Mrs J Bradshaw is a gorgeous perennial that brightens borders from late spring to summer with its vivid scarlet-red, semi-double blooms. This hybrid of Chiloense grows to a height of 45 to 60 cm and has robust blooming stems above low clumps of deeply lobed green foliage. This dependable kind attracts pollinators and bees and is perfect for beds, borders, and cottage gardens. Geum grows best in moist, well-drained soil and prefers full sun or partial shade. Once grown, it is resilient, low-maintenance, and produces vibrant summer colour year after year.
Growing Instructions:
The hardy perennial geum "Mrs. J. Bradshaw" is easy to grow and adds vivid scarlet blooms to beds and borders. From February through April, sow seeds indoors in trays filled with moist, well-drained compost. Seeds require sunshine for germination, so gently press them into the surface without covering. Germination takes 14–28 days, so keep the temperature between 18 and 20°C. Geum grows best on rich, wet, well-drained soil and prefers full sun or partial shade. If sowed early, flowers often appear in the first year and bloom from late spring through summer (May to July). Regular deadheading will extend blooming. To keep clumps robust, separate them every few years.
