300x Sweet Sultan Cornflower Mix – Centaurea Imperialis - Easy To Grow - Annual

Centaurea imperialis, often known as Sweet Sultan Cornflower Mix, is a graceful annual that bears bright, purple, lilac, and white blossoms that flow freely. Known for its long-lasting, spectacular blossoms, this easy-to-grow species is great for garden borders, beds, rockeries, and containers. It is perfect for cut flower arrangements because of its tall, upright stems and eye-catching blossoms, which also add colour and texture indoors. Sweet Sultan is a low-maintenance exhibit that enhances garden biodiversity by drawing pollinators like bees and butterflies. It is quite versatile and appropriate for both novice and expert gardeners, flourishing in full sun with well-drained soil.

Growing Instructions:

In order to successfully cultivate Sweet Sultan Cornflower Mix (Centaurea imperialis), plant seeds indoors in a bright, well-draining seed compost between February and April. Because seeds require light to sprout, spread them out on the surface and gently press to keep the compost damp but not soggy. At 18–20°C, germination typically takes place in 10–14 days. After the last frost, which usually occurs in mid-May, seedlings should be moved into individual pots and allowed to gradually harden off before being planted outdoors. Plants should be spaced 20 to 25 cm apart in a sunny, well-drained location with rich soil. To promote continual blooms, deadhead spent flowers and water sparingly during dry spells. These simple annuals are perfect for borders, containers, and cutting gardens since they bloom freely and vibrantly throughout the summer.
