Growing Instructions:

Sow seeds indoors from March to April. On the surface of moist, well-draining compost, plant a few seeds, then softly cover with a fine layer of soil. Until germination, which typically takes 10–20 days, keep the temperature between 15 and 18°C. Transfer the seedlings into separate pots and gradually harden them off until they are robust enough to handle. Only after the final frost, which usually occurs in mid-May, should you plant outside. Malope dislike waterlogging, so pick a spot that is sunny, protected, and has rich, well-drained soil. Plants should be spaced 25–40 cm apart. During the early stages of growth, water often; once established, water sparingly. Enjoy bright, big flowers from summer to early October by deadheading spent blooms to promote continuing blossoming.
