Growing instructions:

Dianthus chinensis Persian Carpet is grown by sowing seeds indoors in trays or pots with moist, well-draining compost from February to April. After gently pressing the seeds into the ground, sprinkle vermiculite or compost on top. Germination typically takes 7–14 days; keep at 15–20°C. After the final frost, which is usually in late May, move the seedlings into individual pots to harden off before planting them outdoors. Select a sunny spot with soil that drains properly. In late April or early May, you can also plant straight outside. From June to September, this little annual produces vibrant, fringed flowers in pink, red, and white hues. Deadhead frequently to promote bushier growth and extend blooming.
