3000x Red Floss Flint Ageratum Mexicanum Seeds – Tall Cut Flower - Annual

The beautiful annual Red Floss Flint (Ageratum mexicanum) is highly valued for its tall, vivid blooms and outstanding cut flower performance. These high-quality seeds provide robust plants with fluffy, rich red flower heads that give garden beds, borders, and floral displays texture and colour. This type is easy to cultivate, blooms quickly, and prefers well-drained soil. It grows best in full sun to partial shade. It is both lovely and garden-friendly because of its long-lasting blossoms, which draw helpful insects and butterflies. The flowers retain their colour well after cutting, making them perfect for fresh bouquets. Red Floss Flint Ageratum offers consistent growth and striking seasonal colour in every planting, whether you're creating a vibrant flower garden or increasing your cut flower supply.

Growing Instructions:

Red Floss Flint Ageratum mexicanum grows reliably when started early and given consistent warmth. Sow indoors from February to April, lightly pressing the seeds onto the surface of moist seed compost, as they need light to germinate. Maintain a temperature of 18–21°C and keep the soil evenly moist. Seedlings usually emerge within 10–14 days. Once large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots and acclimatise them outdoors for 7–10 days after the last frost. Plant out in a sunny or lightly shaded position with well-drained soil, spacing 25–30 cm apart. Water regularly during dry spells and deadhead spent blooms to encourage continuous flowering. Protect young plants from slugs and ensure good airflow to prevent mildew.
