250x Swiss Giant Flame Pansy Seeds – Striking Large Blooms - Viola Wittrockiana
Swiss Giant Flame Pansy (Viola wittrockiana), a gorgeous variety distinguished by its extra-large blooms in rich tones of red, orange, and yellow with deep, dramatic markings, will provide bold, fiery colour to your garden. These resilient biennials provide colourful displays from early spring to late autumn and are ideal for window boxes, beds, borders, and containers. They produce tidy, bushy plants that are perfect for front-of-border planting, reaching a height of 15 to 20 cm. Pansies are great for early and late-season colour since they are easy to grow and can withstand chilly temperatures. For flowering the following year, sow inside from February to April or outdoors during the summer (June to August). Pollinator-favorite and low-maintenance, this variety adds vibrant, long-lasting colour to any garden with little work.
Growing Instructions:
Swiss Giant Flame Pansy seeds can be sown indoors between February and April for flowers that year, or between June and August for flowers the following spring. Use seed compost that has been moistened and well-drained in trays or little pots. Seeds require sunshine to sprout, so gently press them into the surface without covering. Germination should take place in 10–20 days if kept at 15–20°C. After the final frost, move the seedlings into separate pots once they are big enough to manage, then harden them off and plant them outside. As an alternative, direct sow in the summer to overwinter. Autumn and early spring are when flowering starts, and it lasts until summer. Regular deadheading keeps plants neat and prolongs flowering.
