Growing Instructions:
Gypsophila elegans Baby's Breath Mix can be successfully grown by starting seeds indoors in a bright, well-draining seed soil between February and April. Because seeds require light to sprout, plant them on the surface and gently press, keeping the compost damp but not soggy. Until germination, which usually takes 10–14 days, keep the temperature between 18 and 20°C. After the last frost, which typically occurs in mid-May, seedlings should be transplanted into individual pots and allowed to gradually harden off before being planted outdoors. Plants should be spaced 20–30 cm apart in a sunny, well-drained area with rich soil. To promote continual blooming, water sparingly, refrain from overwatering, and deadhead spent flowers. These annuals yield delicate, airy blooms that are perfect for both displays and cutting.
