2200x Greek Oregano Seeds - Origanum
Greek oregano seeds are an essential in any herb garden, valued for their strong flavour and aromatic properties. Native to the Mediterranean region, this perennial herb is well-known for its cuisine applications, especially in Italian and Greek cooking. Little and oval in shape, Greek oregano leaves add a robust, earthy flavour to a wide range of foods, such as pizzas, pasta sauces, and roasted vegetables. They tolerate drought once established, and they prefer slightly dry conditions, which helps concentrate their flavour.
Growing instructions:
Because the seed is so fine, combine it with horticultural sand to make it more manageable. On seed trays, scatter the seed thinly but do not completely cover it. Ideal placement is in a warm propagator, although a polythene bag will do. When plants are 1 to 2 inches tall, put them into separate pots and let them get used to the weather outside. Place the seeds in a sunny, well-drained area with a 12 to 18-inch space between each one. Choose your leaves for drying right before the blossoms bloom. The plant can survive the winter with protection like mulch, or you can pot it up and enjoy it indoors throughout the winter.
