200x Arenaria Montana Alpine Seeds - Hardy Rockery Plant – Low & Spreading

Arenaria Montana, a hardy, low-growing perennial ideal for ground cover and rockeries, will add flair to your alpine collection or rock garden. Known for its dense, spreading habit, this alpine plant produces exquisite white star-shaped blooms in late spring to early summer along with a luxuriant carpet of tiny, green leaves. Arenaria Montana grows best in full sun to partial shade and well-drained, gritty soil, making it perfect for planting in cracks, amongst rocks, or on hillsides. Because of its hardiness, it can withstand severe weather conditions, making it ideal for gardens in the UK. It is essential for alpine and rock garden enthusiasts and is simple to cultivate and care for.

Growing Instructions:

From February to April, sow Arenaria Montana seeds indoors in a seed compost that drains properly. Since the seeds require light to sprout, lightly cover them with a coating of grit or compost. Germination typically takes 14–28 days, so keep the trays between 15 and 20°C. Move seedlings into separate pots as soon as they have a few genuine leaves. After the final frost, usually in late April or early May, harden off and plant outdoors in a sunny or somewhat shaded location with gritty, well-drained soil. This resistant plant spreads low and quickly, making it ideal for rockeries, alpine gardens, or cracks. Late spring to early summer (May to July) is when delicate white blooms should be expected to bloom. Avoid waterlogging by watering sparingly.
