Known for its vivid green leaves that give off a cool citrus scent, lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) is a fragrant perennial herb that grows quickly. It is prized for its natural capacity to keep insects away in addition to its culinary, therapeutic, and fragrant qualities. A simple herb to produce, lemon balm has many uses, from making natural mosquito repellents to preparing calming herbal drinks.
Growing Instructions:
From February to July, sow thinly, 1.5 cm deep, into carefully prepared, well-dug, healthy soil that has already been watered, right where they are to crop. Typically, seedlings emerge around 14–21 days. No thinning is needed, but during dry months, keep the plants well-watered. Every three weeks, regular sowings will guarantee a steady supply of Lemon Balm throughout the year.
