Salvia Splendens Piccolo is a gorgeous dwarf Scarlet Sage that will provide brilliant colour to your garden. This small plant, which reaches a height of only 20 to 25 cm (8 to 10 inches), produces striking spikes of fiery red flowers, which makes it ideal for bedding displays, window boxes, borders, and pots. Piccolo grows best in sunny spots, prefers well-drained soil, and blooms nonstop from late spring until autumn. Growing Instructions:

Using a fine seed compost, sow Salvia Splendens Piccolo seeds indoors in trays or pots between February and April. Because the seeds require light to sprout, gently press them into the surface without covering. Keep the temperature between 20 and 25°C; germination takes 10 to 21 days. When the seedlings are big enough to manage, move them into separate pots and let them grow in a colder environment. After the final frost, harden off and plant outside in a bright, protected location with well-drained soil starting in late May. From June to October, "Piccolo" will bloom, providing months of vivid red blossoms. Deadhead frequently to promote ongoing blooming. Perfect for bedding schemes, containers, and borders.
