1000x Sweet William Herald Of Spring Flower Mix – Dianthus Barbatus - Perennial

From late spring through summer, Sweet William Herald of Spring Flower Mix (Dianthus barbatus) adds cheery colour to gardens with its fragrant, vivid pink, scarlet, and white blossoms. This hardy perennial has a compact, clumping habit that is clean and eye-catching, making it perfect for borders, cottage gardens, rockeries, and containers. By drawing pollinators like bees and butterflies, Sweet William enhances outdoor areas and promotes biodiversity. It thrives in full sun with well-drained, healthy soil and can withstand a variety of garden conditions. It is also easy to cultivate and maintain. The robust stems are ideal for cut flower arrangements, and regular deadheading promotes longer flowering. For a beautiful, long-lasting display, each seed pack contains hundreds of plants.

Growing Instructions:

Sweet William Herald of Spring (Dianthus barbatus) can be effectively grown by planting seeds indoors between February and April in a light, well-draining seed compost. Because seeds require light to sprout, spread them out on the surface and gently press to keep the compost damp but not soggy. Typically, germination takes ten to fourteen days. After the last frost, which usually occurs in mid-May, seedlings should be moved into individual pots and allowed to gradually harden off before being planted outdoors. Plants should be spaced 20 to 25 cm apart in a sunny, well-drained location with rich soil. To promote continual blooms, deadhead spent flowers and water sparingly during dry spells. Every year, this resilient perennial adds vivid, long-lasting colour to borders, beds, and containers.
