300x Umbrella Plant Seeds  (Cyperus Alternifolius Nanum) - Dwarf Tropical Plant

With Umbrella Plant Seeds (Cyperus alternifolius 'Nanum'), a small, dwarf form of the traditional umbrella plant, you may add a little tropical flair to your house or yard. This decorative plant, which is well-known for its distinctive umbrella-like whorls of narrow green leaves that radiate from the top of tall, slender stems, gives indoor areas, patios, and water gardens architectural flair. The 'Nanum' variety is perfect for pots, containers, or tiny garden beds because it remains smaller and easier to handle than other forms. It is ideal for ponds or other water features because it grows well in damp to moist soil and even in shallow water.

Growing instructions:

The first step in growing umbrella plants (Cyperus alternifolius 'Nanum') from seed is to start them indoors in a warm environment at any time of year. Fill tiny pots or a seed tray with a thick compost that retains moisture but drains easily. Since seeds require light to sprout, equally distribute them around the surface without covering them. Lightly mist the surface to keep it moist, then cover with a plastic or clear lid to keep the moisture in. Place in a warm, well-lit area (preferably between 21 and 25°C), and make sure the soil is always damp but not waterlogged. Typically, germination takes 14–21 days, though it may take longer in colder climates. When seedlings are big enough to manage, move them into separate pots, making sure the soil stays moist throughout.
